MAD Square Telugu Movie Review – A Fun-Filled Sequel with Some Misses

Sequels often come with high expectations, especially when their predecessors set the bar high. MAD Square, the much-awaited follow-up to MAD, is finally here, promising double the madness and comedy. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s find out!

Plot – A Wedding, A Jail, and Unlimited Chaos

The story revolves around Laddu (Vishnu Oi), who lands in Tihar Jail. His fellow inmates demand to know how he ended up there, and thus begins a flashback filled with crazy moments. His friends—Manoj (Ram Nithin), Ashok (Narne Nithin), and Damodhar (Sangeeth Shobhan)—get caught in a series of wild events at his wedding, leading to unexpected consequences.

The film sticks to its core theme—carefree friendships, misadventures, and chaos, all wrapped in humor.

What Works?

Entertaining Performances – Sangeeth Shobhan, Narne Nithin, and Ram Nithin bring effortless energy to their roles. Vishnu Oi, as Laddu, is a standout performer with impeccable comic timing.

Hilarious First Half – The wedding scenes, along with some sharp one-liners, land well with the audience. The humor, though not flawless, delivers solid laughs.

Crisp Editing & Cinematography – Shamdat’s visuals enhance the vibrancy of the film, while Navin Nooli’s editing keeps things snappy and engaging.

Relatable Friendships – The chemistry between the lead actors feels authentic, making their antics enjoyable to watch.

Where It Falls Short

Inconsistent Humor – While the first half is filled with comedy, the second half struggles to maintain the same momentum. Some jokes feel stretched.

Weak Supporting Roles – Despite having talented actors like Sunil and Satyam Rajesh, their characters don’t get enough depth or screen time.

Music That Fades Away – Bheems Ceciroleo’s background score is decent, but only the Swathi Reddy song makes an impact. The rest of the soundtrack doesn’t leave a lasting impression.

Final Verdict – A One-Time Fun Ride!

MAD Square successfully delivers humor and high-energy performances but struggles with consistency. If you’re looking for a lighthearted entertainer with a bunch of crazy moments, this is worth a watch. However, don’t expect it to be as refreshing as the first MAD.
