Macho star Gopichand is delivering a highly anticipated unique action entertainer with the movie “BHIMAA”. Produced by Sri Satya Sai Arts, the film stars Priya Bhavani Shankar and Malavika Sharma as heroines.
Every promotional content related to the movie, including teasers, trailers, and songs, has received tremendous responses. The film is set to release worldwide in grand style on March 8th, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri.
In this exclusive interview, hero Gopichand shared special insights about our 18F Movies’ collaboration with the film. Here are the main highlights:
How did the journey of “BHIMAA” begin? The film was conceptualized by director Harsha during the COVID times. He narrated the story to me during the pandemic, and I found it intriguing.
What kind of role does “BHIMAA” portray? The character of BHIMAA is intense and multifaceted, involving elements of love, emotion, and romance. The film offers a gripping storyline with a semi-fantasy twist, making it quite unique.
You have played police roles before. How does “BHIMAA” differ in terms of character variety? Unlike previous police roles, “BHIMAA” is a commercial-packed movie. It explores a different angle of a police story set against a mythical backdrop. It’s a fresh take on the police narrative, which I found quite appealing. The semi-fantasy elements in this police story are quite innovative and engaging, offering something new for the audience to enjoy.
“Akhanda” is also gaining attention. Did you feel any pressure after hearing the storyline? Not really. “Akhanda” has its own strengths with its intense storyline, vibrant palette, and music. However, “BHIMAA” offers a completely different story set against the backdrop of Parashurama Kshetra. It’s a unique narrative that has intrigued me, and I believe it will captivate the audience as well.
What was your impression of the story of “BHIMAA” after hearing it? I was deeply impressed by the gripping screenplay and the way the story unfolds. The film offers a captivating viewing experience with its gripping storyline, intense emotions, and semi-fantasy elements. Each action sequence is infused with incredible emotions, which I believe will resonate with the audience. The title character “BHIMAA” adds an extra layer of intrigue to the narrative.
Can you tell us about the roles played by Priya Bhavani Shankar and Malavika Sharma? Both Priya Bhavani Shankar and Malavika Sharma play significant roles in the movie. Their characters are pivotal to the storyline and add depth to the narrative.
What can you tell us about the music by Ravi Basrur? The music in the trailer is fantastic, and the film features even better compositions. Ravi Basrur has done an excellent job, and his music adds a lot to the overall cinematic experience.
Is there any special plan for releasing the film on Mahashivaratri? No special plans as such. It’s just a coincidence that the film is releasing on Mahashivaratri.
What can you say about producer Radhamohan? I share a close relationship with producer Radhamohan. We have previously collaborated on a successful film, and we are good friends. He is a gentleman and has produced the film in a grand manner.
Any thoughts on directing a film yourself? Directing a film is a challenging task, and it’s something I haven’t considered.
Are there any plans to collaborate with Prabhas? We have been planning to collaborate on a film for some time now. However, we haven’t finalized anything yet. We will definitely work together when the time is right.
What about upcoming projects? I am currently working on a film with Sriwass, followed by another project with Prasad. Additionally, I have a film in the works with director Radha under UV Creations.
